We believe the Bible is God’s Word, inspired through the Holy Spirit and written by men. It is the final and complete authority in all matters pertaining to faith and the conduct of man. Timothy 3:16,17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, and Peter 1:20,21
We believe God The Father is sovereign, perfect, and holy. His wisdom is infinitely powerful and without measure. God The Father demonstrated His love for all mankind by sending His Son Jesus to die in our place for all man’s sin. We believe that through Jesus we have eternal life with God in heaven. Luke18:27, John 3:16,17, Romans 1:33, 1 Peter 1:16, 1 John 4:7-10, and Revelation 4:8
We believe that Jesus is The Son of God, He is God Himself who came to earth in the flesh. He is complete God and complete man. He was conceived through the power of The Holy Spirit, and was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life as a man on the earth. He willingly gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people. He suffered, died and was buried, rose from the dead and appeared to many before ascending to heaven. He is now seated at the right hand of Father God in the highest position of authority where He forever lives to make intercessions on man’s behalf. We believe Jesus is the only way to receive the forgiveness of sins and gain right standing with God. We believe we must have a personal relationship with Him. Matthew 16:16,17 and 25:31-46, Mark 14:61,62, Luke1:34,35, and 2:7, John 1:1 and 1:14 and 5:22-30 and 10:30 and 14:6, Acts 4:12 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22-24.
We believe The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. He is the 3rd person of the Godhead, the trinity of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. He is received in full when someone invites Jesus into their lives as Lord and Savior. He empowers Christians to live a Christ-like life and helps us to follow the leading of God. John 16:8-11, Acts 2:38, Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:16-26, 1 John 3:24.
We believe that man was created in the image of God to rule on the earth. We believe through one man’s disobedience, sin entered the earth. When Adam disobeyed in The Garden of Eden it brought a separation between Him and God and Adam hid himself from God. Death was the result of his disobedience and all who were born after him have sinned and deserve the penalty of death. We believe that by accepting and receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, we have been reunited with God and have access to Him and will spend eternity with Him in heaven. We believe that those who of their own will choose to reject Jesus will spend a lifetime of suffering and torment in hell. We believe that hell was created as Gods wrath for Lucifer and the fallen angels and that God never intended for man to go there. Genesis 1:26,27, Matthew 25:31-46, Romans 3:23 and 6:23, 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, Revelation 20:11-15 and 22:3-5.
We believe Salvation depends on people individually choosing, of their own free will to receive Jesus as both Lord and Savior into their lives. John 1:12, Acts 2:38,39 and 8:26-40 and 16:25-34, 1 Peter 3:21,22.
We believe in being fully immersed through Water Baptism as a public, outward declaration that reflects a personal, inward faith. It associates the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and signifies the believer’s death to the old life and his or her resurrection as a new creation in Christ (Romans 6:1–8; Colossians 2:12, 2 Corinthians 5:17).
We believe in The Baptism of the Holy Spirit as an important experience of the believer in Jesus Christ. We believe it is a work of The Holy Spirit beyond salvation. The disciples who had already decided to follow Jesus were filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and began to speak in other tongues. Paul in his teaching at Ephesus asked them if they had yet received The Holy Spirit, and then they also received tongues. We believe tongues is given as a sign to the unbeliever and is a heavenly language that allows believers to pray the perfect will of God, because being baptized in The Holy Spirit puts us in perfect union with God. The Apostle Paul said “I speak in tongues more than you all.” All through the New Testament the disciples challenged men everywhere to be baptized in The Holy Spirit. John the Baptist said one mightier than him would come and baptize with The Holy Spirit and with fire. Acts 2:4, Acts 19:2, Acts 1:4,5, Ephesians 5:18, Acts 2:10,19, Acts 10:45,46, Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, 1 Corinthians 14:18
